This is a tough decision, they are both deadly. If I had two job opportunities and they paid well and they were by a volcano or a place that has deadly earthquakes, I would pick the the earthquakes. Here’s why.

Earthquakes can destroy your house, your valuables, your car, and even your job place. Now you ask if they could destroy your job place why would you want to move there, right? Well, they can always be rebuilt and made sturdier. But sometimes you don't even feel an earthquake.

The reason I wouldn't want to live by a volcano is because they release deadly gasses even before they erupt. you can’t do anything to prevent a volcano to erupt, well at least not today. Also you could be inhaling ash and it get in your lungs, then eventually you could die from the amount of intake. SO that's why I prefer Earthquakes over volcanoes.
