I think that earthquakes are more dangerous than volcanoes because they happen more then volcanic eruptions. Volcanoes can cause more damage and kill more people when they erupt but they rarely erupt as much as earthquakes. In 1906 a earthquake destroyed 375,000 square miles of land. After that an earthquake in Haiti killed an estimated 316,000 people. Also earthquakes can cause large tidal waves to sweep over areas hit with the earthquakes. Those tidal waves alone kill thousands of people alone. Another large issue with large earthquakes is that they can have after shocks so people may think that the earthquake is over and they may go back into a unstable building and when the after shock comes it could make the building gun. Those very dangerous and scary things are why I think volcanoes are more dangerous.
