I will have to disagree with Callista because volcanoes can last up to a month and earthquakes can last 30-40 seconds. Volcanoes cause mass destruction to towns. Most volcanoes cause stronger tsunamis than earthquakes too.

I do agree with some of Callista's opinion, but I also disagree Volcanoes also emit dangerous gasses for up to a year. Volcanoes also have dangerous spots near lava chamber that emits dangerous CO 2 gasses.

Volcanoes can kill people much faster than a volcano plus they don't give out warning. You can estimate when an earthquake is going to happen because of seismographs. You don't know when a volcano is going to erupt.

I think you should reconsider because volcanoes can cause miles and miles of destruction. The destruction is caused by the very fast moving lava flow. Also an earthquake can be tracked, but a volcano is all tracked by educated guesses. So all I am saying is just to reconsider your opinion.

Volcanoes and earthquakes are both very dangerous. Each one can cause mass destruction, and even cause deaths to occur. Volcanoes can cause more deaths to happen because even though earthquakes can destroy buildings, Volcanoes can burn buildings and people. A volcano can pour out dangerous lava, that can move really quickly. This lava can kill people a really fast rates. On the other hand volcanoes can be a beautiful site to see, but it’s not beautiful when you are afraid it can kill you. If you want to learn more about volcanoes and how they can be dangerous look up http://www.weatherwizkids.com/weather-volcano.htm and http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/
